A collaboration with ASTA’s Innovature initiative, the piece, titled “Gene-Editing Helps Feed the World – and Save It Too” discusses the delicate balance between ensuring long-term food security and preserving biodiversity, while highlighting the promising role of plant breeding innovations. “Gene editing is a key tool in plant breeding to develop climate-smart plant varieties that assure our nutritional security,” says Van Deynze.
