Louisiana Legislature Makes the Analyses of Certain Seed Testing Exempt from Public Records Law

The Louisiana Governor recently signed HB 426, which will make requests for purity, germination, and additional tests of seeds exempt from the Louisiana Public Records Act. The present law requires the analyses shown by these tests be confidential and available only to the requestor. The law that passed maintains present law and makes the test analyses exempt from Louisiana Public Records Law and will become effective August 1. For more information, click here.
