ASTA IEC Hosts FAS, U.S. Embassy in Mexico, and Seeds Canada

ASTA’s International Executive Committee (IEC) hosted three external virtual meetings during the spring IEC meeting, April 7-8. Groups met with USDA-Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) staff to discuss cooperator programs, key markets and funding opportunities; the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City to discuss phytosanitary, biotechnology, and other priority issues; and with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Health Canada to discuss tomato brown rugose fruit virus and the new guidance for novel food regulations.
