Trump Appoints Angle as NIFA Director

On August 31, President Trump appointed J. Scott Angle to be director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) for a six year term. Prior to this appointment, Angle was the president and CEO of the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), an organization that helps agriculture in developing countries use fertilizer and other technologies. NIFA was established under the 2008 Farm Bill to consolidate all federally funded agricultural research.
