ASTA Expresses Concern about Proposed NIFA Move

ASTA, along with a number of universities and associations representing agriculture and research entities, recently signed on to a letter to Congress expressing concern with the Administration’s proposal to move the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) outside of the national capital region.

Current relocation timeframe gives only 30 days for interested parties to submit bids for the new location. The groups singing the letter are urging USDA to receive public comments from stakeholders before soliciting bids. Read the letter here.
