ASTA Tariff Exclusion Requests Granted for All 20 Seed Products from China

  • On June 10, 2020

In late May, ASTA received news that the 12 remaining vegetable and flower seed product exclusion requests were granted by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). Eight products were already approved earlier this year. This means that seed entering the U.S. from China between September 24, 2018 and August 7, 2020 do not need to pay the 25% tariffs. ASTA is currently filing for a 1-year extension of the exclusion on behalf of interested member companies. If tariff duties have already been paid, companies are eligible to receive a refund.
