ASTA recently signed onto letters to U.S. House and Senate Agriculture Committee leadership in support of the Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops (TASC) grant program. For the last three years, ASTA has used this program to fund research critical to the development of the ReFreSH program.

TASC was created by Congress in 2002 to address Sanitary and Phytosanitary issues and Technical Barriers to Trade that prohibit or threaten exports of U.S. specialty crops. Authorized under the Trade Title of the Farm Bill, TASC operates at a modest funding level of $9 million annually and delivers a significant return-on-investment. Learn more here.
