ASTA Attends AASCO 40th Annual Meeting

ASTA’s Jordan Gregory attended the American Association of Seed Control Officials’ (AASCO) 40th Annual Meeting, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While there, Jordan gave an update on ASTA’s activities and heard from other sister organizations on activities they were working on. Other groups in attendance included the Association of Official Seed Certifying Agencies (AOSCA) and Association of Official Seed Analyst–Society of Commercial Seed Technologists (AOSA-SCST). Additionally, there was an update from USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) staff, a Federal Seed Act training, AOSA rules update proposals, and a variety of development activities. The group also had the opportunity to participate in a prairie restoration tour, the Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve Tour, and hear from a panel of experts on the importance of native seed to Minnesota.
