USDA Opens Enrollment for Grassland Conservation Reserve Program

From May 4 to May 29, producers and private landowners can enroll in the Grassland Conservation Reserve Program (Grassland CRP). A part of the Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) flagship Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), this initiative supports grazing operations, plant and animal biodiversity, as well as grasslands, shrubs, and forbs under the greatest threat of conversion. Currently, roughly 10.3 million acres are in Grasslands CRP.
