USDA ERS Releases Cover Crop Usage Data

USDA Economic Research Service (ERS) has released data from the field-level USDA Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS) detailing which cover crops were grown in the fall before planting corn, cotton, and soybeans. The data shows that cover crop mixes account for 18 to 25 percent of acres with cover crops. However, the use of single-species cover crops is more common. For more information, click here.
