The Seed Science Foundation (SSF) is proud to join the Center for Advanced Design and Manufacturing of Integrated Microfluidics (CADMIM) as an Associate Member.

Funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF), CADMIM focuses on deploying microfluidics components in diagnostics across sectors, including human health and agriculture, through public and private partnerships.

The SSF, which collaborates closely with ASTA, was launched in 2018 with a mission to address seed and plant science challenges and to encourage plant breeding education and seed research in support of the ever-changing needs of the global seed industry. The SSF supports efforts to fund public research programs in basic seed science and to explore opportunities for public and private research organizations to further knowledge about successful seed product development.

SSF’s collaboration with CADMIM is centered on the development and deployment of microfluidics to facilitate faster and more accurate diagnostics of seed borne and seed transmitted pathogens to ensure phytosanitary compliance, enabling global movement of healthy seed.
