Remembering 77 Years in Chicago: ASTA’s CSS & Seed Expo 2022 Special Exhibit

ASTA members have been sending in their favorite photos and memories of their years attending ASTA’s CSS & Seed Expo in Chicago, with some noting they have attended for 30 years or more, as the association prepares to move its flagship event from Chicago in 2022 to Orlando for 2023 and beyond. ASTA is compiling a special collection of photos, written paragraphs, and special memories of all kinds for a “Farewell Chicago” display, to be featured next to an Orlando-themed “Sneak Preview” center to help introduce attendees to the new 2023 venue. Accompanying this special exhibit, the “Legacy Walk” will showcase adhesive “stepping stones” leading to the entrance of the Seed Expo, featuring sponsoring companies who have joined in the celebration of the years in Chicago, which the event has called home since 1946.

“This event is special to so many people, some having come at the beginning of their careers, or even during their childhood, and are now attending as owners of their company,” says ASTA Senior Director of Meetings Jennifer Crouse. “We’re excited for everything our move to Orlando will bring, but saying goodbye to Chicago is bittersweet. These memories are a way for all of us to celebrate those years together, and incidentally they offer a great promotional opportunity for the companies who take part as well.”
