Positive News for the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement

The U.S., Mexico and Canada agreed last week to remove steel and aluminum tariffs as well as the retaliatory tariffs impacting agriculture. This is a major step in increasing the likelihood of the U.S. Congress to take up the revised trade agreement for a vote. ASTA continues to advocate for the passage of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA). Canada and Mexico are the two largest markets for the U.S. seed industry, totaling $630 million in exports last year. Read more in ASTA’s statement here.
