New York Hearing Addresses Neonicotinoids

  • On October 20, 2021

On September 20, the New York Assembly Standing Committee on Environmental Conservation held a public hearing to examine the impact of neonicotinoid pesticides on pollinators and the environment. ASTA submitted written comments,  and ASTA member, Adam Robertson of Seedway, presented oral testimony. The hearing served as a follow-up to multiple bills filed during the past state legislative session that, if passed, would have limited or banned the use of neonics, including on treated seed. Similar legislation is expected for the 2022 session.
