In Memory of Nathan Boardman

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nathan Boardman, Crosbyton Seed Co., on April 22, 2024.

Over the course of his career, Nathan served in many professional positions, including with the Texas Certified Seed Producers, Texas Seedsmens Association, United States Grains Council, National Grain Sorghum Producers Association, and the American Seed Trade Association. He was the recipient of many honors on the local, state and national level, including Crosby County Agriculturist, Crosbyton Man of the Year, Texas Seed Trade Association Lifetime Member and American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) Lifetime Member. Nathan also served as the 2000-01 President for ASTA.

Nathan is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughter Lisa and husband Tony Davis; daughter Jana and husband Brent Hoffman; grandchildren Cole Davis, Megan Davis Chambless, Brittany Hoffman Furgeson, and Blake Hoffman; great-grandchildren Joel, Rebekah and Evelyn Davis, Hannah and Luke Chambless, and Nathan and Catherine Furgeson. Nathan’s family requests donations to be made to the Crosby County Pioneer Memorial Museum or the Crosbyton Volunteer Fire Department. To learn more about Nathan, read his obituary here.
