ASTA President & CEO Andy LaVigne recently joined Agri-Pulse Open Mic host Jeff Nalley for an in-depth interview on the current state of the U.S. seed industry.

While farmers grapple with the price and availability of fertilizer and crop protection products for 2022, LaVigne said the seed industry should be well supplied and ready to meet seed demand for the coming planting season. Among other issues, he stressed the importance of consistent regulatory rules from Washington, science-based global trade policies, and spoke to the necessity of plant breeding innovation in enabling farmers to meet their production and sustainability goals.
