After an eventful August on Capitol Hill, House leadership is working to have the budget reconciliation package ready for a floor vote around the same time as the infrastructure bill. In July, Congressional leaders and the White House agreed to a $3.5 trillion topline for the reconciliation package. Committees have a September 15 deadline to assemble the package. Ag committees are expected to receive funding to pursue priorities surrounding climate, nutrition, research, and wildfires, among other key goals.
