Gearing up for ASTA’s CSS 2018 & Seed Expo

It’s not too late to register for America’s largest seed industry conference! ASTA’s CSS 2018 & Seed Expo, December 3-6 in Chicago, promises to deliver a powerful program of timely and relevant educational content. A totally redesigned Seed Expo 2018 will feature new and larger exhibits from the industry’s major players. Here are a few things that make this year’s conference a must-see:

  • The Majors After the Mergers. This blockbuster general session on Tuesday, December 4 features leadership from the seed industry’s four largest companies, after a major transitional year. Each panelist will provide their view on the future of the industry, and the opportunities they on the horizon.
  • The Global Ag Economy Forecast. ASTA’s most popular speaker, Dan Basse of AgResource, will share his annual update on the global agricultural economy and offer his predictions for what 2019 has in store for the industry.
  • Plant Breeding Innovation. USDA’s Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Program, Greg Ibach will join a distinguished panel including Todd Campbell from the National Association of Plant Breeders and Dr. Patrick Schnable from Iowa State University, discussing opportunities and challenges with today’s evolving innovations.
  • The all–new Seed Expo. Using the information gleaned from beacon-data technology deployed in 2017, ASTA has created a brand-new, data-driven redesign of the exhibit and show areas including new exhibit-hall based educational programming. Wednesday’s Seed Treatment Tour of the Seed Expo offers an immersive combination of education and exhibitor displays by offering a series of purposeful content presentations by the variety of companies that manage a variety of seed treatment aspects. In addition to this new experience, Seed Expo 2018 includes all-new exhibits from the industry’s largest players as well as the largest ever exhibit, the R-2 by ALMACO.
