CSS & Seed Expo Session Spotlight: Sustainability and Post-Pandemic Concerns Amazon, Boeing to Speak in Carbon Management Session

  • On October 20, 2021

The CSS & Seed Expo 2021 is shaping up to be the first major opportunity for the seed industry to come together after nearly two years apart during the pandemic, with a session series that reflects the timely issues facing the “next normal.” A sustainability focus threads through the entire agenda, as the current state of topics such as supply chain operations, treated seed, ag technology innovations, testing and moving seed across borders are explored, along with a new meeting of the ASTA Sustainability Working Group.

Two general sessions will forecast the near future for top-of-mind issues, including the 2022 agricultural economic forecast by returning favorite Dan Basse and a new general session on Carbon Management, featuring speakers from Amazon, Boeing and several seed companies. The new “villages” design of the event further connects session topics with their relevant exhibitors, including the “Tech Village,” “Field Village,” “LEAD Village” and “Treat Village,” with each hosting its own expo showcase event. Exhibitors can still apply until October 22 to be included in the showcases, a free opportunity for participating exhibitors, and registration is steadily increasing weekly as more and more travel restrictions are lifted as of November.
