U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has published guidance on how to apply for tariff reimbursements for eligible products imported from Africa under the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) trade preference program. Importers are currently eligible for retroactive duty refunds for imports from certain African countries that occurred during the October 1, 2025 – February 3, 2026 window. However, requests to CBP must be submitted no later than August 2, 2026. Please review CBP’s guidance carefully for instructions and eligibility requirements.
