With the challenging issues facing Midwest and row crop agriculture, it is more important than ever that you not miss out on the timely and robust series of educational sessions at this year’s CSS & Seed Expo 2019, December 9-12 in Chicago. Back by popular demand, Tuesday’s opening general session features Dan Basse of AgResource with his annual forecast for global agricultural markets. The second general session includes a two-part program, providing critical insight into the future of farming and the seed business. The first presentation, the “Farmer of the Future,” will showcase key insights from Aimpoint Research about how the seed industry’s key customer will change over the next 20 years. “Thriving Amongst the Giants” – a follow-up to last year’s record-setting “Majors After the Mergers” panel discussion – will look at the challenges and opportunities for regional seed companies during this period of industry transition and consolidation. Panelists will include top executives from: Latham Hi-Tech Seeds, Beck’s Hybrids, Stine Seed, and Wyffels Hybrids. Other sessions will delve into industry hot-topics including: new breeding technologies, hemp seed, biologicals, digital agriculture and more.
