ASTA Submits Comments on Brazil’s Proposed Phytosanitary Requirements for Begonia Seed

ASTA recently submitted comments on proposed phytosanitary requirements in Brazil for the importation of Begonia seed. The submission is available in the members-only portal.
In June, ASTA reviewed the proposed requirements and conducted a literature assessment of the listed pests and pathogens. Based on this review, ASTA found no evidence that seven of the listed pests are seed-transmitted for this commodity.
