ASTA Submits Comments for Fall NOSB Meeting
- On October 15, 2026
In advance of the Fall National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) meeting, ASTA submitted comments to address key seed-related organic policy issues. Specifically, ASTA’s comments provided feedback on NOSB’s Discussion Document, which states the agenda and perspective of the Board.
The NOSB is a Federal Advisory Board made up of 15 volunteers who represent the breadth of the organic community. NOSB considers and makes recommendations on a wide range of issues involving the production, handling, and processing of organic products to the National Organic Program, which administers organic policy. The NOSB generally meets twice per year at a public meeting to discuss the items on its work agenda, vote on proposals, and make recommendations to the Secretary of Agriculture.
