ASTA Shares Value of UPOV 91 with Counterparts from Argentina and Chile

ASTA recently met with visiting delegations from the Governments of Argentina and Chile to promote the value of intellectual property (IP) rights for plant breeders, farmers, and consumers, and to encourage adoption of UPOV 91. The 1991 Act of the UPOV Convention, administered by the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV), is the most current international standard for plant variety protection. ASTA thanks the U.S. State Department for sponsoring the delegation’s visit and looks forward to working with partner countries to ratify UPOV 91.
