ASTA Launches International Working Groups – Nominations Due July 29
- On July 1, 2026
ASTA is launching four revamped international working groups, and we want you to be involved! These member-driven groups bring together ASTA staff and members to collaborate and develop action plans on the international policy issues that matter most to our industry. The four regional groups are:
- Africa
- Asia
- Central and South America
- North America (USMCA)
Each group will focus on ASTA’s core international priorities, including phytosanitary barriers to trade, intellectual property rights, and streamlined biotechnology policies for plant breeding innovation and biotech crops.
Any ASTA member is eligible to participate, and multiple representatives from the same company are welcome. Groups are expected to meet no more than quarterly, with the first meeting targeted before September 30.
Nominations for yourself or a colleague are due by close of business Wednesday, July 29.
Questions? Contact Ben Rietmann at brietmann@betterseed.org or any member of the ASTA International Team.
