ASTA is pleased to represent the U.S. seed industry as a new Steering Committee member of the Food and Agriculture Climate Alliance (FACA). Comprised of organizations representing farmers, ranchers, forest owners, agribusinesses, manufacturers, the food and innovation sector, state governments, sportsmen and environmental advocates, FACA works to define and promote shared climate policy priorities. The alliance is united around three core values: 1) agricultural and forestry climate policies must be built upon voluntary, incentive-based programs and market-driven opportunities; 2) they must promote resilience and adaptation in rural communities; and 3) they must be science-based.

Launched in November 2020, FACA has already begun closely engaging with the Biden administration and Congress on how agriculture can help meet shared climate goals. For more information on the alliance’s policies and membership, visit: www.AgClimateAlliance.com.
