As a steering committee member of the Food and Agriculture Climate Alliance (FACA), ASTA recently had the opportunity to participate in a Farm Bill Briefing for the Bipartisan House Climate Solutions Caucus. This bipartisan caucus serves to work together to combat climate change while also protecting the economic prosperity of the United States.

The group also welcomed the February 12 announcement of the Working Lands Climate Corps, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s new workforce development initiative aimed at building the next generation of conservation practitioners.

ASTA serves as a Co-Chair of the FACA Research, Extension, and Innovation Working Group and led efforts to draft Farm Bill priorities that support the role agricultural research and innovation in adapting to and addressing climate change impacts.
