ASTA Attends FAO IPPC

Last month, ASTA’s Director, Seed Health & Trade, Dr. Martha Malapi, participated in the FAO IPPC 19th Session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM-19) in Rome.
Delegates from around the world came together March 17-21, 2025, to advance global cooperation, adopt new international standards, and strengthen efforts to protect agriculture and biodiversity from invasive pests and diseases while facilitating safe trade.
This collective commitment plays a vital role in supporting global food security – for today and for future generations.
