ASTA Announces Speakers for 61st Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference

On January 5, ASTA announced updates to the speaker line-up for its 61st Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference January 28-February 1 in San Diego, CA. Two general sessions, one on Short-Term and Long-Term Logistics and the other focusing on the Future of Production & Retail, round out a program that also includes sessions on communications, intellectual property rights, phytosanitary concerns, innovation and plant breeding and much more. The “Women in Seed” luncheon, being held Saturday, January 29, features opening remarks from Maria Fraile Reyes of MAR Seed Company and Dani Kehm of Seed Programs International. A delegation of students from UC Davis will be attending the conference and a new poster presentation reception has been added to the agenda on Sunday, January 30. In addition to these sessions, the first general session on short term and long term logistics will feature presentations from Sakata Seeds, American Takii and Allen Lund Company followed by a panel of seed industry experts.
