Join FFAR on April 4 for a Webinar on Adapting New Crops to Controlled Environments

  • On February 28, 2018
  • ASTA, crop development, FFAR, foundation for food and agriculture research

On April 4 at 2:00 p.m. EST, the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) will host a webinar discussing the Foundation’s efforts to build a multi-stakeholder partnership to advance crop development and adaptation specifically for controlled environments.

While research within this area is considered high-risk, advancements in this sector could lead to substantial rewards that benefit potential partners and the public sector. FFAR aims to mitigate risk by building a collaborative that shares resources among partners and unites efforts towards science-based approaches to controlled environment agriculture.

Webinar participants will learn:

  • How FFAR will enable the expansion of crops suited for indoor agriculture
  • Target impacts of this collaborative effort
  • Opportunities to partner with FFAR on this effort
