New Biden Administration Nominations, Confirmations Announced

Critical nominations and confirmations continue to take place within the Administration. President Biden announced the nomination of Dr. Chavonda Jacobs-Young for Under Secretary of Research, Education, and Economics at USDA. Additionally, Jenny Moffitt was confirmed on August 11 by the full Senate as USDA Under Secretary of Marketing and Regulatory Programs.

The Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry voted to advance the nominations of Congresswoman Xochitl Torres Small to be Under Secretary of Agriculture for Rural Development and Mr. Robert Bonnie to be Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation at USDA. Both now await final confirmation in the Senate.
