EPA Publishes Revised Insect Resistant Framework

On November 23, EPA published a revised proposal to improve Lepidoteran resistance management for plant-incorporated protectants (PIP), as well as EPA’s responses to comments received on its initial September 9, 2020 proposal. The revised proposal sought to incorporate recommendations received during the public comment period. EPA plans to discuss the revised framework with PIP registrants with the goal of finalizing the framework in 2022. ASTA provided comments to the 2020 proposal and is analyzing the revision for impact to members. The revised proposal, as well as the initial proposal and public comments can be viewed here.
