Cover Crop Survey Seeks Farmer Insights

  • On April 1, 2020

Help us get input for the survey from your farmer contacts: The sixth cover crop survey developed by USDA’s SARE (Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education) program, the Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) and the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) is in the process of gathering perspective on the use of cover crops from farmers and crop advisors nationwide. The survey, which takes 15-20 minutes to complete, is available here and is open through April 12.

SARE, CTIC and ASTA are seeking insights not just from long-time cover crop users, but also from farmers with little or no experience with cover crops. In past years, the survey has been used by conservation districts, agency personnel, farm suppliers, researchers and policy makers to guide resources into research, communications and policy around cover crops. Previous years’ Cover Crop Survey reports are available online here.
