ASTA Hosts Research Fly-in

  • On April 26, 2023

ASTA hosted a Capitol Hill fly-in April 18-20 where seed industry advocates called for strong investments in agricultural research in the upcoming Farm Bill. Members involved in the Germplasm Enhancement of Maize (GEM) Program spoke with members of the House and Senate on the importance of prioritizing funding for research to help keep the U.S. agricultural industry resilient. The GEM program is a great example of a three-decade long public-private partnership that focuses on gathering genetics from around the globe to build up the adaptability of corn varieties.
