ASTA Members Participate in Panel at National Native Seed Conference

Members of ASTA’s Environment & Conservation Seed Committee participated in a panel at the National Native Seed Conference. Brandon Pachman, ASTA’s Director, Government Affairs, moderated the discussion. During the session, the panelists explained how seed companies produce and distribute native seeds, as well as the challenges that the industry faces. After the discussion, the members took questions from the 200 member-strong audience. Throughout the panel, the panelists expressed a willingness to work with the other aspects of the supply to resolve issues and to serve as a trusted partner.
The National Native Seed Conference is an annual gathering that connects research, industry, land management, and restoration professionals dedicated to strengthening the native seed supply chain. The panelists included: Al Holleman, Product Manager/Buyer, Agassiz Seed; John Seymour, President, Roundstone Native Seed; Jessi Strinmoen, Operations Manager for Shooting Star Native Seeds; Tren Hagman, Senior Vice President of Sales, Native Seed Group; and Brett Bamert, President, Bamert Seed Company.
