USDA APHIS Releases Coordinated Framework for the Regulation of Biotechnology Report

On November 9, the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), in coordination with the Food and Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency, issued a report on stakeholder comments on the Coordinated Framework for the Regulation of Biotechnology in response to President Biden’s Executive Order 14081. The three agencies also posted plain-language information on agency roles, responsibilities, and processes for the regulation of products of biotechnology.
