Color-Coded List Enables Journalists to Instantly Match Issues with Subject Matter Experts
Alexandria, VA (July 7, 2013) Whether for background or for quotes, the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) has made it easy to quickly identify an expert to answer questions on everything from Adventitious Presence to Vegetable and Flower Emerging Issues.
âIssues facing the seed industry can be very complex and you can spend a lot of time tracking down explanations or responses to breaking news,â said Andrew W. LaVigne, ASTA President and CEO. âWeâve made it very easy to look down an alphabetical, color-coded list of issues then match that color with the ASTA staff member who is very knowledgeable on that issue. If that person doesnât know the answer, he or she will know exactly who within our over 700 member companies does.â
ASTA distributed hard copies of the Media Resource Guide at the National Association of Farm Broadcasters event in Washington, DC last month and the online version was introduced with the recent launch of ASTAâs new website. The website features comprehensive information and resources on: state, federal and international issues; science and trade policies; industry and ASTA initiatives; education and careers in agriculture; and ASTAâs four annual conferences â the Corn & Sorghum Seed (CSS) and the Soybean Seed Research Conference, the Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference, the Farm & Lawn Seed Conference and ASTAâs Annual Convention.
