In Memory of Robert Falasca

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Falasca on March 3, 2026.
Bob studied botany and agricultural science at the University of Connecticut and The Pennsylvania State University. After college, he spent two years in Vietnam with the International Volunteer Service working as an agricultural extension agent.
Most of Bob’s professional career was based in Washington, D.C., where he served as an executive with ASTA and led the National Council of Commercial Plant Breeders and the American Seed Research Foundation.
Bob is survived by his companion, Glen A. Sams; his sister, Carol Ann Falasca; his brother, Weda C. Falasca; his nephew, Brian W. Falasca, his wife Lindsey, and their daughters, Isabell, Charlotte, and Emily; as well as many cousins and friends.
