In Memory of Gail Sharp

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Gail Sharp, co-founder of Sharp Bros. Seed Co., on March 15, 2026 at the age of 93.

Gail and his brother, Gerald, established Sharp Bros. Seed Co. following his return from military duty. Throughout his many years in the seed business, Gail developed fond friendships and served on several boards, such as president of the Western Seed Association, the Kansas Seed Industry Association, and the Kansas Crop Improvement Association. He was also an active board member of the Society of Range Management, American Forage and Grassland Council, American Seed Trade Association, board supervisor of the Lane County Soil Conservation, served on the board of directors at First National Bank of Dighton, and was a trustee of the Healy Methodist Church.

Gail is survived by his wife, Mildred; son David Sharp and wife Cheri; son Daniel Sharp and wife LaFonda; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
