Caudill Seed Announces the Passing of Dan Caudill

A note from Caudill Seed:

It is with deep sadness that Caudill Seed announces the passing of Sanford “Dan” Caudill on December 17, 2025, following a courageous and private battle with cancer.

Dan devoted more than 45 years to the family business and never formally retired. Under his leadership, Caudill Seed grew from a small agricultural supply company into a respected regional supplier serving both the agricultural and food sectors. Throughout his career, Dan was known for building thoughtful, principled, and long-lasting relationships across the seed industry, earning the respect of colleagues and partners worldwide.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dan lived a life rooted in faith, integrity, and deep devotion to his family. He cherished time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Dan is survived by his wife of 39 years, Andrea Olson Caudill; his children Cassandra Whitehouse (Josh), Corey Caudill, and Connor Caudill; his granddaughters Adalie and Aliya Whitehouse; and his brothers, Pat and Tom Caudill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise and Forrest Caudill.

As the company and industry mourn his passing, Dan’s legacy endures through the values he instilled—measuring success not only by business growth, but by the lives touched along the way.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dan’s honor to The Ice House, The Healing Place, or Volunteers of America (Monarch Station), all located in Louisville, Kentucky.

Sincerely,

Corey and Connor Caudill
