There is significant regulatory activity underway at both the state and federal level related to treated seeds. ASTA is preparing comments on three separate public comment requests and needs your input to ensure our submissions appropriately reflect industry perspective.

EPA Fungicide Strategy Public Comment
ASTA is seeking feedback on the EPA’s request for public comment on the proposed Fungicide Strategy.

California Department of Pesticide Regulation Public Comment
ASTA is seeking feedback on the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (Cal DPR) request for public comment on “proposed regulation to formally define pesticide-treated seeds in the state, specify conditions under which those seeds are exempt from pesticide registration requirements, and require reporting on the use of pesticide-treated seeds in California.”

Minnesota Department of Agriculture Public Comment
ASTA is seeking feedback on the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) request for public comment on determining whether their rules regarding neonic-treated seeds are “adequate to protect natural resources.”
