A Thrilling Treat: Skylar Sowder from Farm Credit Council Joins FCSC Speaker Line-Up

Skylar Sowder, Vice President of Government Affairs for the Farm Credit Council, will moderate a farmer panel at ASTA’s 2025 Field Crop Seed Convention during the second General Session, titled “Voices from the Field: Realities and Opportunities in Agriculture Today.” In this session, Sowder will lead a dynamic panel of growers from across the country to share first-hand insights into the realities on the ground – and opportunities ahead. 

At Farm Credit Council, Sowder is primarily responsible for advocating Farm Credit’s priorities to the United States Senate. Prior to joining the Council in 2021, Skylar served as Professional Staff on the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry for Ranking Member John Boozman (R-AR) with a policy portfolio of commodity programs, crop insurance, and disaster assistance. Skylar has over a decade of policy experience, supporting rural America through her legislative work in Congress and at Farm Credit Council.
